Event Description: NEPA BlogCon will be hosting a kickoff party on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the River Grille in Plains. This marks yet another event by the organizers of Northeastern Pennsylvania's first blogging conference, which drew more than 150 bloggers, technophiles, students, and business community members last October. The NEPA BlogCon Kickoff Party will include appetizers, door prizes, and a chance to network with NEPA BlogCon organizers and attendees. It’s a free event, but attendees can make a suggested $5 donation to be given to NEPA BlogCon 2014’s selected charity. NEPA BlogCon is a daylong conference and networking event to be held at Misericordia University’s Insalaco Center for Career Development on October 11, 2014. It's designed to bring together bloggers of all experience levels, as well as those interested in marketing, social media, and using new media as a tool for business. Proceeds to benefit a local charity serving Northeastern Pennsylvania, as NEPA BlogCon focuses on enriching the community through education, as well as doing a little extra for those in need. Tickets will go on sale this summer. Cost: Suggested $5.00 donation for charity
