Event Description: BAYADA Pediatrics is pleased to announce the upcoming date for our Parent Support Group for families of children with special needs in the Hazleton area. Connect with other parents who understand. You can share your stories, experiences, successes and obstacles in an informal, caring environment. Share as much or as little as you feel comfortable. The monthly support group is free and open to parents of children of all ages with a wide range of diagnoses and medical needs. Please leave your children at home so that we can focus on supporting parents. Light refreshments will be served. Two meeting times will be offered on: Thursday, August 6th 12:00pm to 2:00pm with guest speakers Judy Kresky, Early Intervention Program Specialist and Karen Kotchik Hughes, MA, CAGS of Community Counseling Services 5:30pm to 7:30pm with guest speakers Kim Minor, Regional Coordinator of Special Kids Network and Debbie Shemansky, Early Intervention Service Coordinator BAYADA Pediatrics Hazleton office, located at 1 W. Broad Street, Suite 4, Hazleton, PA 18201 Discussions may include topics such as: • Why did this happen to my child? • How do I best meet my child’s needs? How do I keep working, take care of the family, and take care of myself? • Feelings of being alone and isolated, and the comfort of being around people who understand what I’m going through.
