Date: 5/1/2016 Time: 1:00 PM TO 4:00 AM 1601 W 23rd St Hazle Township, PA 18202 Phone: 570-926-1302 Event Description: DONATIONS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED BUT NOT REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE! ~Walk to Honor a Loved One ~Walk to Support the Cause ~Walk to Raise Awareness The Hazleton Area High School SADD Club and Help STOP the Silence, a suicide prevention and support program offered through Catholic Social Services is pleased to host the 4th Annual Help STOP the Silence - Walk to Prevent Suicide (www.helpstopthesilence.org) WHEN: May 1, 2016 WHERE: HAHS Gymnasium TIME: 1:00 p.m. (Check in begins at 12:00 p.m.) All proceeds benefit Help STOP the SILENCE Suicide Prevention & Support programs in providing local services to our community. A welcome and program which includes a survivor speaker will begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by the walk. This is a 3 mile community walk. The track and the gym will remain open for those who are unable to go the distance. In the United States, a person dies by suicide every 12.3 minutes. Here in Luzerne County we are losing one person (reported) per week.
